My first Citrus Twist Kit Pocket Life subscription box came in the mail and I’m lovin it!
I’ve known about Citrus Twist Kits for awhile now, but got overwhelmed with all of the different memory keeping and planner subscription boxes available out there. Finally, I pulled the trigger over Black Friday because Citrus Twist Kits was running a discount special. I chose their Pocket Life kit since I love to keep it simple and just stick photos, cards, etc into the photo pockets =)
This month’s kit included 12 beautiful papers, size 6×6. You can see a peek in the photo above. They are so pretty and I look forward to cutting them up for my traveler’s notebooks or photo pockets, even cards or pocket letters that I send out.
I’m so happy that this kit came with stickers; I love stickers and washi tape more than papers and stamps. The word/phrase stickers are very cute and I use this type a lot, especially when I don’t really know what to write on the journal card.
Something I think is cool about the Citrus Twist Kit Pocket Life subscription box is all the ephemera floating around ^_^ Ephemera is another thing I love love love to use all over my work because the unexpected little details pop against the paper and the photos. It’s a really easy way to make something “boring” look inspiring and memorable.
Also, I love that King card because it reminds me of when my husband and I had a little birthday celebration/babymoon in a cabin that had that theme. Hehe.
Those are the journal cards that came in the Pocket Life kit this month; my favorite papers included were the paint splatter ones. And more little bits of vellum letters and wooden veneer words floating around in there, love it.
This month’s kit is called Kinsley, by the way, and the kits do sell out after awhile. I was surprised to speak with the owner about my order and find out that Citrus Twist Kits is actually a small business, family-owned! They’re so efficient, organized and well-known with an awesome selection. My order arrived in about 2 days, too.
Clear polymer stamps are pretty new to me, but in the past year or so I discovered I love using them with my acrylic block and a little ink to customize things in my planners…The tiny size of the stamps and the fact that they’re clear make it easy to use them in small places, like a daily box in your planner!
I just realized that this stamp set may be an extra welcome gift? What a nice surprise!
Ok, Becky Higgins’ Project Life is what made me feel like maybe, just maybe, I could actually make a nice-looking scrapbook. Scrapbooking was something I had attempted and failed miserably at in the past. But with Project Life, I was introduced to what scrapbooking is all about which is journaling + pictures, embellishments optional. It’s about capturing the moments and making it easy to remember a picture’s meaning, years after the fact.
Scrapbooking and memory keeping in general, is about telling your story, but it should be a fun process. Project Life showed me how to actually capture and make sense of an entire year without letting the process stress or overwhelm me!
Remember photo albums? Those little books full of clear pocket pages that you would just put your pictures in? I feel like no one uses them anymore, but PL is just as easy.
40 die cut shapes for the win!
There are 118 Corrugated Letters by Jillibean Soup, which is another cute brand. Who knew cardboard could look so cute? And there is the stamp set by Citrus Twist Kits with phrases like “making people smile”. I enjoy putting ink on just the parts I want to stamp, such as “smile” instead of the whole thing. It’s fun.
There’s this month’s Citrus Twist Kit Pocket Life subscription box in all its glory. I also like the cut apart sheet and the inspiration paper that were included. The regular price of this kit is under $20 for subscribers which is a wonderful deal.
Woohoo! Can’t wait to show you how I use these items and do it all over again next month, maybe with some add ons!
Do you subscribe to any boxes?
