Some of my MAC Fruity Juicy collection items arrived today!
Way to go MAC for shipping so fast =)
I also got a few things from Nordstrom, so stay tuned for a giveaway!
And they included a couple of free samples:
A sample of each shadescent and coordinating lipstick…super excited to try these!
And a sample of their Cleanse Off Oil! I’m interested in trying different makeup removers and cleansers any time.
MAC Fruity Juicy collection | Prep + Prime Coconut Fix Plus
It’s a skin refresher and finishing mist to use before and after makeup, or to just provide some moisture to your skin throughout the day.
I have oily skin, especially during the warmer months, so I’ll let you know how this works out for me.
The packaging is to die for!! And the twist cap and spray nozzle are working beautifully so far.
The mist is fine, but do hold it 12″ from your face as MAC advises haha.
Of course, I love the coconut scent. It’s very light and only lasts for a moment, but it sure does take me back to vacation for a split second.
You get 100mL / 3.4 oz in this bottle.
Oh My, Passion! Pearlmatte face powder
I usually don’t go for the face powders, but the fruity floral compact was too cute to miss out on.
Don’t you hate when you skip a limited edition item and then regret it later?!
Happened to me last night with the olive traveler’s notebook, so I’m jumping on that when I see one for sale, lol.
Anyway, some folks thought the flower and palm leaf pattern of the face powder was an overlay…
It’s not! That’s actually the shape of it, so it will take quite a while for that beautiful aspect to flatten out =)
There are 4 colors in this powder which you can use separately or blend together.
The shades are pigmented, but blend so easily. I actually tried this with an eyeshadow brush, blusher Beauty Blender, and my fingers.
I must say, no matter your skin tone, that yellow powder makes a gorgeous, subtle highlight!
Sí, Sí, Me! Satin lipstick
This is a dark, bright fuchsia shade which MAC says has a velvet, sheen finish.
It applied nicely to my lips, but wasn’t as “satiny” feeling as I thought it would be. I do think velvet is more accurate than satin when describing the texture and finish ;]
I decided to lightly blot and blend this color on my lips, starting at the center and ending just before the edge of my lip.
This way, the natural pigmentation of my lips acts as a kind of lip liner without having to actually apply lip liner.
A trick for those of us who usually shy away from bright lip colors!
Shake, Shake Shake! Cremesheen Glass
I’ve always loved MAC’s cremesheen glass lippies because of the moisturizing, non-sticky texture.
The pigmentation is perfect to brighten up your look, but the color is still easy and convenient to apply.
Shake, Shake Shake! is a lovely red-orange (bright apricot orange is MAC’s description) and it looks so nice on the lips.
It also has the signature vanilla scent, but it’s not a noticeable as it is in the lipsticks.
Cha-Cha-Cha Cremesheen Glass
Could this be a giveaway item? I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to let it go yet lol!
To be determined…
As soon as I checked out, it said SOLD OUT for this cremesheen, so I breathed a sigh of relief…and that was at 8:30 am!
It’s described as a warm peachy pink and I’ve seen some beautiful swatches so far, but none on darker skin like mine *sad face*.
So that’s shipment #1 of the MAC Fruity Juicy collection and I’m very happy with it.
Stay tuned for more pics and information about the items in future posts.
