Who else loves eating healthy but feels kinda lost when making meals?
I’ve been asked about meal prep ideas since I love to share healthy, easy affordable options that you can make at home =)
The containers are here on Amazon (where else?! hehe) and I’ve been using them for 3 months–they’re still in great condition, even microwaving and putting them in the dishwasher.
The veggies are a “stir fry” mix from the freezer section. They’re usually 4 huge bags for $2 or something like that! You can put them in a microwave-safe dish with a little water and let them steam for a few minutes.
I also put them in the steamer section of my rice cooker sometimes when I make brown rice, like in the photo above! 2 birds, one stone, etc.
***A note about my rice cooker–after having 3 other ones die on me in a short time span, I ordered this one on Amazon 3 YEARS ago and it’s still going strong lol So try that one, it’s affordable, too!***
That red sauce is sriracha and I always use soy sauce and other seasonings, too. Not exactly “healthy” for someone who’s trying to cut fats and sugars, but I love it! I can’t deprive myself that much.
The final food in that pic is just some lemon chicken breast. I got it in a big bag from the freezer section at Target; it’s already flavored, but I season it more anyway.
Just make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and counteract water retention caused by sodium in salty foods/seasonings <3
Do you prep your meals? Do you have any health/fitness goals this year?
