It’s Plan with Me Happy Planner time and spring is in the air!
I was excited to try items from the new Heidi Swapp collection, so I decided to combine watercolor, marble and roses this week.
The pattern with a black background and yellow flowers is the main event here and I loved using that washi tape.
Writing on it with this white gel pen was fun, too.
When I started flipping through the 12×12 pad of paper, it was easy to choose the pink and white watercolor sheet.
I cut it into 4×6 rectangles and took another piece and chopped it up into rectangles sized 2.5″x1.5″ to fit in my Happy Planner!
That gold paper trimmer in the pic is a lifesaver and it’s on sale.
Listen, I know the smaller ones are cheaper, but I highly recommend just investing in a larger one up front!
It’s portable, too!
I’m not the only one who likes to do this even while traveling, am I? ^_^
So, I still had scraps after placing my rectangles on the planner pages.
If you know my style, you know I love using hearts; I just used my trusty heart shaped punch for those!
By the way, this tool is from another Teresa Collins collaboration that’s on sale 😉
It was great to see a glittery gold washi tape in the washi tape set that came in the kit!
A long time ago, I got a similar sparkly roll from Kikki K and had been jonesing for another like it ever since lol.
RANDOM STICKER ALERT! ha ha! I don’t like too much blank space, so I’ll randomly add things like that.
And did I mention that the main reason I wanted this specific Happy Planner was for the rose gold discs?
It’s a bonus that the pages are very pretty, too.
Oh yes, I did mention that in my post National Vision Board Day | Vision Dashboard in The Happy Planner =)
Guess I’m obsessed…
The black and white washi tape says “it always seems impossible until it’s done”.
Next, I covered the “notes” text with a pink heart and then had to be extra and place a gold heart ephemera piece on top.
Using those weekend stickers that come in The Happy Planner sticker book (currently 50% off!) has become a little tradition for me.
The weekend can’t be celebrated enough!!
I just wanted to show you a close up of that beautiful floral washi tape.
It is on the wider side, so for the disc area, I trimmed it in half.
And then, for the days of the week area at the top of the page, I used scraps left over from the other washi trimmings.
Waste not, want not! =)
Omg, that paper *_* It’s still got me all starry eyed…
You know, I’m so glad I got the kit with the big 12×12 sheets, even though I will never go back to 12×12 scrapbooking again!
The large sheets really come in handy to have fun on all kinds of projects.
Last but not least, there she is in all her glory!
My weekly layout filled with watercolor, marble, flowers, gold glitter, white text and…hearts =)
Do you decorate your planner each week?
