A Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream review is on the menu today!
With all the hype surrounding this pricey body cream, a non-sponsored review is sorely needed, right?
It’s quite pricey. I can buy a similar body cream from Bath & Body Works for a fraction of the cost of the Brazilian Bum Bum cream.
Claims: Tightens and smooths skin with the ingredient Guaraná, which provides caffeine.
Absorbs quickly, nourishes and softens skin with coconut oil and Cupuaçu butter.
Animal Testing: no
Location: made in the USA
Packaging: I decided to order a travel-sized jar of the Bum Bum cream, which is 75 mL (2.5 oz).
I like the black, white and orange with bold fonts. It cheers up my desk, drawer, countertops…I like color!
The top twists off and there was a little tabbed lid inside, which I discarded. Do you ever keep things like that? My hubby does, haha.
Usually, I don’t really like digging into pots for my beauty products, but I don’t mind too much with body cream.
Scent: Ok, the number 1 reason I ordered the Brazilian Bum Bum cream was because people were going crazy over the fragrance.
I love to smell good, probably more than the average person HAHA!
Immediately, I was reminded of one of my Victoria’s Secret body sprays mixed with Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen.
It smells good! But I’m not going to pay so much money just for this scent again.
Texture: This is a very thick, rich cream that’s easy to apply.
It really does absorb into my skin quickly without a greasy residue.
My skin feels soft and moisturized, but I don’t notice tightening properties yet.
And this Sol de Janeiro cream does have shimmer, but it’s not over-the-top.
I didn’t even notice shimmer the first time I wore the cream, but it gives a nice glow.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream | review | final thoughts
I enjoy using this body cream after my shower and I use it all over.
It moisturizes nicely, but I’m not sure it would be powerful enough during the harsh winter months here in Illinois.
I do like the scent, shimmer, feel and the way it absorbs into my skin.
If you fall in the love with the scent, the body spray seems to be a better value for the cost.
I don’t plan on repurchasing this cream, but if you want to order it from Sephora, use Ebates to get cash back =)
Have you tried the Brazilian Bum Bum cream yet?
